Soprano Alexandra Henderson is a passionate and versatile performer based in the Boston area. A skilled interpreter of operatic, musical theater, and jazz repertoires, Alexandra has built a career on her multifaceted technical ability. Alexandra was most recently seen as the leading role “The Governess” in Benjamin Britten’s opera Turn of the Screw with the Brevard Music Festival. A role that she reprised after her debut performance of “The Governess” in her Masters program at the New England Conservatory of Music. Alexandra was also selected as one of four performers in a masterclass for tony award winning actress Patti Lupone, and was also featured in Ms. Lupone’s show, “Don’t Monkey with Broadway”. Alexandra is a recipient of the Douglas Smith Scholarship for the Arts from the New England Conservatory of Music, the Second Place Prize in the fourth/fifth place category of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (TEXOMA), as well as the Third Place Prize in the Student Artist category of the John Alexander National Vocal Competition.
