Soprano Alexandra Henderson is praised for her “supple, luminous” vocal ability
(Paul Bodine for Classical Music Daily). As seen in the New York Times, Alexandra was
featured in the world premier of Robert Paterson’s operatic work New York Stories. In her
operatic career, Alexandra has been seen in leading roles such as Adina in Donizetti’s Elixir
of Love (Opera NEO), and the “Governess” in Britten’s Turn of the Screw (Opera Roanoke).
Alexandra is also an avid performer of art song repertoire and is excited to be on the artistic
roster for the Federation of the Art Song , where she has been featured as a soloist, as well as
with her collaborator Sepehr Davallou. Alexandra is honored to have recently been named
the first place winner of the John Alexander National Vocal Competition and the winner of the
Boston District of the Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont Competition. Alexandra holds a Master’s
Degree in Vocal Performance from the New England Conservatory where she received the
Douglas Smith Scholarship for Voice.
